Glow Flow Foundations
Brand new to the concept of yoga? Glow Foundations is perfect for those new to yoga or those wanting to refresh their knowledge on the basics. Nina will help you understand some basic knowledge of yoga and go over foundational postures and the fundamentals of breathing and alignment to help you join any yoga class. You will be guided in detail through each step. Like the foundations of a building, the sturdiness of a yoga posture depends on the quality of it’s base. So let’s start building from the ground up and start GLOW-ing up! Perfect for absolute beginners who don't want to be in a group setting and want to start privately.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga intelligently stresses the joints and fascia through loading the physical body and utilizing both traction and compression in postures for 1 to 10 minutes. It is a deeply meditative and profound practice that releases tensions stored in the body, targeting the connective tissues. You will be supported in releasing tension held in the body, both physically and energetically, unwinding knots of energy that can result in chronic stress, anxiety, fatigue, or feeling fragmented and disconnected.
On the mental and psychological levels, Yin practices offer us a chance to be introspective. By observing the breath and focusing on the present moment, we develop mindfulness skills that can be transferred from the mat to everyday life. Access a deeper sense of embodied peace, clarity, vitality, and harmony.
Yin Yoga is mostly practiced lying or sitting on the floor. The pace is slow, so you need to wear comfortable clothes and consider keeping your socks on. Please prepare yoga blocks, a yoga bolster/cushions/pillows, a strap, and a blanket or towel.
* Candlelit Classes Available
Yin + Glow
This practice is divided into two parts. Yin Yoga consists of long passive holds to access connective (yin) tissue – ie. fascia, tendons, and ligaments. You will be supported in releasing tension held in the body and mind and in unwinding knots of energy that can result in chronic stress, anxiety, fatigue, or feeling fragmented and disconnected. The pace is slow, so wear comfortable clothes and consider keeping your socks on.
The second half of class is an active practice, focusing on muscle activation, blood flow, strength, and stamina. The combination of both Yin and Yang is needed to keep joints healthy, to come into balance, and to stay in optimal condition. You will be guided through a light flow to re-circulate stored energy, prana, or qi that was released in the first half of class.

Inversion Glow Focus
What are inversions? It’s the secret to youthfulness. 😉 It’s finding the delicate balance between weight distribution and the structure of the pose where the head is below the heart. Inverted positions in yoga alter the blood flow (including lymphatic drainage) and flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). If there is increased blood flow to the area, there will be increased bioavailability of oxygen and glucose – the two most important metabolic substrates for the brain. Cells bathed in a solution that is rich in factors required for the creation of neurotransmitters (like norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin) will be better able to produce these chemicals. So let’s fight our fears, challenge our perspectives, and flip upside-down!
Balance Glow Focus
Balance is a learned skill. In order to improve balance, we must challenge it. Physically, balancing teaches us to tap into the deep muscles that coordinate the separate parts of the body into an integrated whole. Mentally and emotionally, it helps us develop a keener focus as well as the ability to keep an even keel despite the inevitable wobbles that arise in life. We’ll be challenging our balance every step of the way starting from the base - focusing on standing postures that improve your sensory awareness in your feet. Similarly, learning how to use your hands for efficient weight-bearing is not only helpful in yoga arm balances, but in any action that requires thoughtful awareness of your shoulders, arms, and hands. When we have a mindful connection to our base, we feel more stable and grounded, better equipped to deal with the fluctuations of life. Practice balancing the physical body and watch what happens in the rest of your life!
Back Bend/Care Glow Focus
The spine connects to every organ and every part of the body through the spinal cord and tiny nerves that lead straight up to the brain. It could be the single most important part of the body and when it is out of alignment, it can cause a significant amount of pain. It's one thing to have a vertabrae out of alignment, and another to build muscle to keep the spine supported in alignment. This class is specifically designed for those suffering from back problems - office execs sitting for long periods of time or those suffering from continuous back pain and/or spinal stiffness (including but not limited to spinal stenosis and scoliosis). Involving a series of yoga postures and alignment techniques that decompress and relieve back tension while also focusing on strengthening the back muscles in order to attain proper posture, preventing further back pain. Everyone needs some back care.
Hips & Booty Glow Focus
Work on activating and tightening the biggest muscle group in our body, our glutes! Since tight hips and knee pain directly correlate to weak glutes, another main focus of this class is to open and release the hip flexors – an area that houses past emotional trauma. So, let’s work it out and let it go, all in one class.
Stability Glow Focus
The core consists of muscles connecting the spine and pelvis. More specifically, the key muscles here include the deepest abdominal layer (transverse abdominis), the deepest back muscles (multifidi), the iliopsoas linking the spine and pelvis to each femur (thighbone), and the quadratus lumborum, which provides lateral support on either side of the lumbar spine. This fun and invigorating class combines dynamic movements and steady holds with emphasis on core stability to build and maintain a strong foundation essential to strengthening a yoga practice. This class also includes detoxification techniques as well as some back exercises.
Flexibility Glow Focus
In yoga, Flexibility is an attitude! This class takes you through a series of yoga postures and movements working toward difficult poses to help you open into a more flexible mind and body – targeting the hips, hamstrings, quads, glutes, and spine. You will practice how to mindfully breathe through the inflexible spaces to create more space and open the body in ways you never knew you could!
Sound Bath + Voice Glow
Join vocalist and sound bath alchemist, Nina Park in a deeply relaxing and therapeutic vibrational meditation. Nina will guide you through breathing and visualization into a deep meditative state while being enveloped in an ambient blend of sound. Nina's Sound Bath + Voice Glow uses the power of vibrational healing through instruments, using quartz crystal singing bowls and Nina's singing voice to awash the body and induce a deep state of relaxation and restoration.
Everything is a vibration. Healthy bodies resonate at a higher frequency while dis-ease vibrates at a lower frequency. Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is suitable for practitioners of all levels. By definition, Restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. After you're set up in a pose with all your props, you will hold the pose for an extended period, sometimes for 10 or 20 minutes. In these passive poses, the focus is on ease and release. You may even fall asleep. This can be a sign that the nervous system is recalibrating to a "rest and digest" state versus "fight or flight." It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind.
When the body enters a state of relaxation the mind can also consciously relax as tension is released from both body and mind. The only work that's required on your part during a restorative yoga practice is to pay attention to your breath and become aware of any sensations or thoughts that may arise.
At the end of the session, your body will feel completely relaxed and restored.
The pace is slow, so you need to wear comfortable clothes and consider keeping your socks on. You may cocoon yourself in blankets for extra warmth and coziness. Please prepare yoga blocks, a yoga bolster/cushions/pillows, a strap, and a blanket or towel.
* Candlelit Classes Available
Chair Yoga
Perfect for those who find a typical yoga session too challenging or for those who are slowly rehabilitating their bodies after an injury or accident. ‘Chair Yoga’ is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available.
Postures and breathing exercises are performed with the aid of a chair. You will experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction. Please secure yourself a sturdy chair that isn’t wobbly, yoga blocks, and have a blanket or towel ready.
